The Vision of the St. George Leadership Association.
The St. George Leadership Association is a professional confraternity of serious Catholic men and women across North America and Europe, who stand together, support one another, and learn from one another. We grow together in deepening our faith and our commitment to virtue and excellence in every aspect of life, both professional and personal. Along the way, we share insights, ideas, and inspirations that can lead to collaborations and new opportunities.
Members work across many different professions, but what unites us together is that each of us is striving together to transform our own small corner of the world in the light of Christ through our professional work by taking up the call to leadership in practical ways.
Together we, like our patron St. George, push back against the forces of darkness in our world with the light of Christ in our work and prayer to plant the seeds of a renewal of Catholic life and culture.
The St George Leadership Association is built on three dimensions that guide everything we do:
1. Leading Well in Our Own Life & Work
Each of us has been entrusted by God with certain areas of activity and influence — in family life, at work, and in the community. The St. George Leadership Association helps us lead well where we are, stay accountable to our mission, and so transform our small corner of the world around us in the light of the Gospel through our professional activity and prayer.
2. Learning and Growing Together as Peers
You cannot lead well in isolation. In the St. George Leadership Association, we share ideas, exchange resources, and challenge one another. Members gain perspective and insight from peers facing similar challenges and opportunities. This is a network of leaders who sharpen and strengthen one another. We also share resources and even collaborations as the opportunity arises.
3. Shaping a Countercultural Leadership Model to Transform Society
Beyond the personal and the peer-to-peer, we aim for something larger: transforming the leadership landscape. Together we are building a Catholic leadership counterculture — one marked by integrity, responsibility, and purpose in today’s professional and cultural environments.
In essence:
Lead well individually.
Grow together as peers – equally called to leadership in Christ.
Become agents of Christian transformation in society together.
